Judgment-Free Support
New Beginnings Brenham provides a welcoming, trustworthy place for women in who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant. Our goal is simple: to provide support and answer any questions you may have without bias or judgment. We aim to provide every woman who comes through our doors with the highest quality services so they can get definitive answers to their questions, and thereby make informed decisions regarding their next steps.
Pregnancy Testing
Pregnancy can be a scary thing, but it is important for you to know that support is available to you. First, before you make any other decisions, it is important that you take a pregnancy test to verify your pregnancy. Depending on the results of your test, you will gain some crucial information about the state of your pregnancy, and from there you can decide what you want to do next.
STD/STI Referrals
Although pregnancy can be one result of having sex, it is by no means the only one. Unprotected sex can also leave you at risk of contracting an STD (sexually transmitted disease) or STI (sexually transmitted infection), which can be equally, if not more, worrisome. Although New Beginnings does not perform STD/STI tests in our offices, we do partner with clinics and doctors in the area who do.
Ultrasounds
After a pregnancy test has been performed, and a positive pregnancy has been confirmed, the next step we encourage you to take is to have an ultrasound performed. In addition to telling you how far along your pregnancy is, an ultrasound can also provide you with some important health information regarding both yourself and your baby.
Education
Whether you are already a parent or expecting to become one for the first time, it is important that you are always learning. Whether it’s how to deal with your unplanned pregnancy, or how to be a good parent, New Beginnings provides classes for parents or expectant parents of all experience levels.
Support
New Beginnings is here to not only provide you with important information you need to make the right decision for yourself regarding your unplanned pregnancy. We hope to serve as a resource well beyond that, whether it’s providing education about healthy relationships, helping women through a pregnancy loss, or a variety of other support services.
#WorthIt
#WorthIt was created with the goal of empowering teens and young adults to learn the critical thinking and decision making skills that they need to be successful. Through the #WorthIt curriculum, they will learn how to make effective, forward-thinking choices about their present, and their future.
