Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation designating the Sunday closest to January 22nd to be Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This annual proclamation has been continued by several presidents and has become adopted as a holy day among many Christian denominations and congregations.
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is a day for us to remember the lives which have been lost to abortion (from 1973-2018, over 60 Million), and rejoice for the lives which have been saved through the power of God and the work of pro-life organizations across the country.
New Beginnings has several free resources available to any group wishing to commemorate this day.
Our annual Celebration of Life Banquet will be Thursday March 5, 2020 at 6:00pm. The evening will begin with a silent auction and delicious catered dinner followed by a state-of-the-ministry update and an enlightening guest speaker.
This is our primary fundraiser of the year and our goal is to raise half our operating income for the year.
Megan Almon with Life Training Institute will be our guest speaker.
Please make plans to join us, Thursday, March 5, 2020 @ 6PM @ Brenham’s Fireman’s Training Center, 1101 Hwy 290W.
Can’t join us, no problem…
WHY STUFFED CROCHET ANIMALS??
The founder of our ministry is a woman who experienced an unplanned pregnancy and abortion at the age of 21. One thing she had to do before starting the ministry was tell her parents what she had done. These stuffed animals are made by the mother of the founder; in honor of her granddaughter, lost to abortion in 1993. While she crochets, she prays for the mother and child who will receive each animal.
