Brazos Valley Gives

In 2019, The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley made the decision to join other foundations and organizations across the nation who are promoting the fourth Tuesday of October for communities to come together and support their LOCAL non-profits.

New Beginnings was honored to be part of that inaugural campaign and excited to participate again in 2020!

Early bird giving begins October 1st with the campaign culminating in a focused 18-hours of giving on October 27th from 5am to 11pm. All giving is on-line HERE.

We know this has been a crazy year and everyone has been effected in different ways. At the pregnancy center we are seeing two distinct impacts among our clients:

  1. Women who would “never” have considered abortion before are now because of a loss of employment and/or future security.
  2. Requests for pregnancy testing has increased due to couples being home more.

Your support of New Beginnings during the Brazos Valley Gives campaign will enable us to continue to provide compassionate care, truth, hope, and love to every woman who comes through our door.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday – January 17, 2021

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation designating the Sunday closest to January 22nd to be Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.  This annual proclamation has been continued by several presidents and has become adopted as a holy day among many Christian denominations and congregations.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is a day for us to remember the lives which have been lost to abortion (from 1973-2018, over 60 Million), and rejoice for the lives which have been saved through the power of God and the work of pro-life organizations across the country.

New Beginnings has several free resources available to any group wishing to commemorate this day, contact us: info@newbeginningsbrenham.org or (979) 836-0397.

Our annual Celebration of Life Banquet will be Thursday March 4, 2021 at 6:00pm.  The evening will begin with a silent auction and delicious catered dinner followed by a state-of-the-ministry update and an enlightening guest speaker.

This is our primary fundraiser of the year and our goal is to raise half our operating income for the year.

Please make plans to join us, Thursday, March 4, 2021 @ 6PM @ Deep in the Heart Farms, 8251 Highway 105, Brenham.

PRAYER BUDDIES

WHY STUFFED CROCHET ANIMALS??

The founder of our ministry is a woman who experienced an unplanned pregnancy and abortion at the age of 21. One thing she had to do before starting the ministry was tell her parents what she had done. These stuffed animals are made by the mother of the founder; in honor of her granddaughter, lost to abortion in 1993. While she crochets, she prays for the mother and child who will receive each animal.
